Overview
Zen.com is a fintech startup that simplifies payments and financial services for individuals and businesses. It offers multi-currency wallets, easy international transfers, and perks like purchase protection, zero-fee currency exchanges, and a broad range of cashback offers.
My contribution
I was responsible for UX Design, UI Design, and Ideation. I collaborated with the business and analytics teams to grasp user needs, craft user-centered designs, and execute them with developers.
The team
I was part of an 8-person design team in a startup with over 100 employees. Our team included specialists in areas like Product Design, Analytics, UX Research, and Brand Design. We collaborated closely with four product teams focused on mobile apps, web apps, and the back-office tool.

Process
→ Started from the ideation phase, collaborating with designers, product managers, and other stakeholders to explore the problem space and align on the best solution.
→ Finalized the design and prepared detailed documentation for handoff, including user flows and edge cases, to support implementation and future refinements.
→ Worked closely with developers during implementation by testing early builds, checking for edge cases, and ensuring that the final output matched the design.
→ Analyzed user behavior after release using quantitative data, and when needed, ran usability tests before launch to make sure the flow was intuitive and easy to follow.
Outcome
Working with ZEN was a big learning experience for me. We released the app with big promotions in Poland and other countries, and tens of thousands of people used it on the first day. Being part of that launch taught me a lot and made it a project I’ll always remember. The product is still available today and has grown into one of the biggest fintech companies in Poland.
